Quick Start
This guide walks you through your first steps in Evidens — from creating an account to your first bookkeeping actions. For an overview of what the platform can do, see What is Evidens.
1. Sign in
Open the application in your browser and sign in with your account. If you don't have one yet, register — all you need is a valid email address.
2. Set up your company
On first entry, fill in your company's basic details. Entering your registration number or tax ID (PIB) automatically pulls the data from the APR registry, so you only review and confirm it.
If you run a bookkeeping agency, you add clients the same way after setting up the agency — each client gets its own isolated set of books and an initial chart of accounts (standard or custom).
3. Invite your team
In the team settings, invite colleagues by email. In an agency, you assign each accountant the clients they are responsible for; in a company, team members share access to the same books.
You can skip this step and invite your team later.
4. First bookkeeping actions
Once your company is set up, all features are available from the main menu. A typical order:
- Review the chart of accounts — confirm the initial chart of accounts fits your needs, or customize it.
- Issue your first invoice — create an invoice and send it to your customer through SEF.
- Import a bank statement — upload a statement file (Halcom TXT, Asseco XML, ROL XML, or MT940) and match transactions to invoices.
- Upload documents — scanned incoming invoices and receipts are processed automatically, with journal entry data prepared for review.
5. Track your obligations
The dashboard shows upcoming deadlines — VAT returns, PPP-PD, financial statements — along with SEF invoices awaiting a response and documents that need attention. Agencies see the deadlines of all their clients in one place.
